Advantages of Hydronic Heating
Hydronic heating has been used for years, to heat homes in a luxurious and stylish manner.
Using the principles of natural convection and radiant heat, hydronic heating allows you to heat your home silently and without the intrusive nature of blown air, making it ideal for asthma and allergy sufferers.
Water is a superior carrier of heat compared to air, which makes a hydronic heating system one of the most efficient ways to heat your home.
- More cost effective than ducted heating
- Can be installed under the floor or using elegant wall panels
- Uniform temperature distribution for ultimate comfort
- No unsightly ducts
- Allergy and asthma friendly
How does hydronic heating work?
The principle behind hydronic heating is a very simple one – the hydronic boiler heats water and transports it through the house via pipes laid in the floor or walls. Hot water emits a radiant heat, and it is this heat that warms your home in a luxurious and unobtrusive manner.
If the pipes are laid in your floor, they will create a wonderfully warm surface to walk on, and as hot air rises, the whole room will be enveloped in a warmness. If radiator panels are used, they will emit heat which will distribute evenly throughout the room. The panels can also be individually adjusted so that rooms which are not being used can be switched off.
The Bosch Advantage

A Bosch system comes with a 2 year warranty* so you can be confident of its quality ensuring peace of mind.
Your Bosch hydronic heating system
Bosch pride themselves on being able to provide your home with the major components of your hydronic heating system. Our components are all interlinked, ensuring the system can be optimised and working efficiently.
The Bosch hydronic heating system consists of a number of components:
The Heart of your Hydronic Heating System – The Bosch Boiler
In a standard boiler, a significant portion of the energy is expelled as flue gasses through the flue terminal. In a condensing boiler, the latent heat from these flue gasses are captured and repurposed, so that this energy is not wasted. Bosch condensing boilers utilise otherwise wasted energy to achieve an efficiency of up to 99.3%* as measured against European Standards.
It is, however, vital to ensure that the complete heating system is designed for optimum efficiency throughout, as efficiency losses can extend beyond the boiler. A Bosch Specialist installer will ensure that this is achieved, allowing you to realise the running cost benefits of a highly efficient Bosch boiler used in combination with a quality Bosch Specialist installation.
*Efficiency of Bosch Condens 5000W 18KW Boiler tested against EU Regulations 811/2013, 812/2013, 813/2013 and 814/2013 as supplement to the Directive 2010/30/EU.
